Aidan Floyd

My name is Aidan and I’m an artist and illustrator from Cornwall, UK. My work is best described as black and white fine line illustration with a dark and surreal twist. I find beauty in things others may consider macabre. Some of my earliest influences came from H.R Giger and Salvador Dali. I think some of the surreal and dark subjects that fascinated me then, are still apparent in my work today. I also have a huge love and appreciation for anatomical art, especially vintage etchings from old medical publications. Some of the earliest forms of illustration from the old masters are what fascinates me the most. I’m always looking for new ways to improve and develop my inking style and feel I still have a lot to learn. I think experimenting and pushing our skills to new levels, keeps art interesting and helps us to remain inspired to continue creating original work.
